Welcome to MassArt Class of 2018!
The Orientation staff is very excited to have you join our community. This site will be updated throughout the summer with information regarding move-in and Orientation for students and families.
Resident Students–
If you are a resident student you will receive your assigned move in time via your MassArt email address in mid-June. Any move-in related questions can be directed to Housing@massart.edu.

Which Orientation should I go to?
Are you a first year student?
If so, you will be joining us from August 30th-September 3rd
*If you are a first year student who has taken a break after high school for at least five years, you may want to join us on August 29th instead. Contact Laura Flynn at lflynn@massart.edu if this pertains to you.
Are you a Studio Foundation Transfer Student?
If you are a Studio Foundation Transfer student who is coming to MassArt after only a semester or year at another school, you should join us from August 30th-September 3rd. If you have had more than a year at another college, are coming to us with a degree from another field or are coming to us after years of life experience, you should join us on August 29th as well as on September 3rd.
Are you an Upperclass Transfer Student?
You should join us on August 30th.
Are you an International Student coming on an F-1 visa, a U.S. Citizen living abroad or a legal permanent resident?
If you are a new, first year student, you should join us on August 27th and 28th for International Student Orientation as well as August 30th-September 3rd for New Student Orientation. If you are transferring from another institution, you should join us on August 27th and 28th for International Student Orientation as well as August 29th for Transfer Orientation. If you have questions about which Orientation to attend as an International student, please contact Maggie Shirland at maggie.shirland@massart.edu
Are you an Exchange or AICAD Mobility student spending one semester at MassArt and then returning to your home institution?
If so, you should join us on August 27th and 28th for International Student Orientation as well as August 29th for Transfer Orientation. You will not need to attend the full August 30th-September 3rd New Student Orientation but when you arrive we’ll discuss certain sessions that may be helpful for you to attend. If you have questions about which Orientation to attend as an Exchange or Mobility student, please contact Amy Holland at amy.holland@massart.edu
