Spring Break Communique

We hope everyone has a safe, restful, and productive Spring Break.

Studio Foundation Visual Language/TIME Labs, Cage, Printing Lounge, and Form Study Lab will be closed over Spring Break beginning Saturday, March 3rd through Sunday March 11th. The cage, and print area will reopen on Monday, March 12th.

Equipment checked out from the Cage on Friday, March 2nd does not have to be returned until Monday, March 12th before 10:00 a.m.

If you need access to workstations with Final Cut Express during Spring Break, the 7th floor Computer Arts computer labs (Tower 713/729) will be open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

When working in labs outside of Studio Foundation, make sure you open and save your project using Final Cut Express (right click on your project file and choose “Open with Final Cut Express” and NOT Final Cut Pro, otherwise you will not be able to continue working on your project in the Studio Foundation labs, since once a project is saved with Final Cut Pro, there is no way to open it again in Final Cut Express. Workstations in Studio Foundation labs only have Final Cut Express installed!

If you need access to printing or Photoshop during spring break, the Computer Arts Center labs on the 3rd Floor of Tower will operate on the following schedule: Saturday, March 3rd: Sunday, March 4th: CLOSED; Monday, March 5th through Saturday, March 10th: 9am – 5pm (limited support); Sunday, March 11th: Resume normal hours, 9am – 10pm.
