TIME: Resources

Overview:

This section provides a summary of the support resources related to the Digital Media taught in the Studio Foundation TIME course.

SF Cage:

This is the place where Studio Foundation students or any student enrolled in SF course can borrow equipment (e.g., digital and video cameras, projectors, etc.), get help with software or equipment, make high quality scans/prints, edit your work, etc. For more information visit SFCage online

Tech Help Studio [THS]

If you need assistance with your assignment or would like a tutorial on a specific topic, consider joining Tech Help Studio. The Tech Help Studios are special online lab hours with an expert consultant in the house to answer your questions and show you basic digital media techniques, and/or provide one-on-one tutoring. Held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:45 – 9:45 PM in Room S306

One-on-One Consultations

Students who need extra help beyond joining the THS support are encouraged to schedule a one-on-one session with Gene Preble (Media Arts Studio Manager). These can be scheduled by calling Gene at (617) 879-7298 (office) or emailing sfcage@massart.edu  Please keep in mind that one-on-one consultations must be scheduled in advance and are subject to availability.

The Computer Labs on the 3rd and 7th floors of the Tower Building 

Students who need access to a lab on the weekends may also use the Computer Arts Center Labs on the 3rd floor of Tower as well as the Computer Arts Center Video Labs on the 7th floor of Tower (713 or 729, not to be confused with the Film/Video department lab on the same floor). Hours for the 3rd and 7th floor labs are posted on https://massart.edu/technology
